David Soria directs The Guys at GreenMan Theatre Troupe

GreenMan Theatre Troupe, in Elmhurst, opens its 8th season with “The Guys”, by Anne Nelson. The play tells the story of how one writer helped a New York City Fire Department captain find the words to remember the colleagues he lost on 9/11. This fictionalized account tells the true story of Nelson’s own experience in the weeks following 9/11.

David Soria directs Cheryl Rice and Chuck Jacobson in this showcase production. David recently sat down to talk with us about the continuing impact of the play nearly ten years after its New York debut.

“The Guys” opens Friday, September 9th, for six performances (September 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18). The 90 minute show begins Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM, at the United Methodist Church in Elmhurst.
